I believe in a higher being
by Mickey mouse ini opened another thread with a similar title and thought it was going to be a discussion about belief in god but it wasn't.
so i started my own.. although i'm not sure of much at the moment (since i had my beliefs whipped out from under me like the floor under my feet) i feel fairly certain about one thing.
there is evidence of intelligent design and beauty in the universe and i don't logically think this is accidental.

Intelligent People on this Forum
by BenV insomeone had a thread about "smart people" in their congregations.
while i readily admit there were some "good," and "kind" jws in the congregation i grew up in.
and maybe it was the location -- my dad was asked to move there -- but for the most part it was an intellectual sahara.. yet i've noticed that on this forum there are some incredibly "smart" people.

Lets not hijack this theme....the subject isn't about Gay or not Gay, its about Intelligent people on this forum.
What i would like to say is that most people here just woffle, like I do too, but when it comes to the deep points and explantion of scriptures, and history of the WTS, I have seen some of the most intelligent and well researched people I have ever had the privelege of knowing.

I Don't think woman in the Westen world have much to complain about. My sister is a real Woman's Liber and she's ruined her life... unmarried , blames all her problems on men... has a need for a man but no repect for men.....good on ya! girls.
Luckerly my wife isn't the same...good to be home with her.

I was alone and I knew I was doing something the WTS didn't want me to do, but the Elders had given me such a hard time for such a long time that I wanted to see what others had gone threw, I found out a lot more hehehe
Actually i thought you were asking about THE FIRST TIME you had SEX !!!! hehehe

They believe that ....
- We will be like God when we die, they believe satans lie to Eve.
- In different levels of Heaven and that we will be there with our famlies, which is why they make such a big thing of families and family trees.
- That Jesus went to see the American Indians after he died in Israel, and to preach to the Indians in the same way.
- That Jesus kingdom will be established in a Major city in North America, ( can't remember which one).
- That their Book of Morman is the Bible Volume2, which tells about Jesus coming to north America

by digderidoo ini have looked at the thread about gay marriages in california and thought about asking this question there, but instead of hi-jacking that one i thought i would ask it here.
there seems to be quite a few gay people on this site and i wonder how many class themselves as christian?
if so, can being gay live in harmony with being a christian?.

Simply because God cannot condemn what he created.
Don't mean he hates them, I feel there are reasons why people turn or grow up gay.

I am really concerned with the cost of living. Fuel costs are high and getting higher. Food and Housing. even in the so-called rich countries its getting harder. And it doesn't look like it will ever get better only worst. its a bit concerning to say the least.
Any thoughts? I can really see it coming when Jesus said "brother against brother" the way its going people are going to kill each other over a bucket of Petrol/Gas.
